For these photographs I was experimenting with the use of artificial light and how it creates a sense of comfort and safety within a home. I used large lights and a candle and I plan to use Amy Friends pinhole technique to exaggerate the  light comiing from the candle itself. This is because I want to use various methods to imply a sense of protection and comfort that light and darkness can provide. For all of these photographs I used a low shutter speed to ensure a large amount of light was captured. This was effective and allowed my photographs to be more contrasted and bright.

 

I used an outdoor light to allow me to experiment with artifical light outdoors, however it did not contrast as well as I'd hoped so I had to digitally enhance it to allow me to show the difference between the comfort of light and the sinister darkness.
